Bryan Thornhill took a video from inside his car of his 10-year-old son running outside in the rain. He started the video by saying 'Hey everyone, welcome to you better listen to your Dad 2018. My son has finally got in trouble on the bus enough to where he was kicked off the bus for three days because he was being a little bully which I do not tolerate, can't stand.' Bryan Thornhill posted a video of him parenting his son who was caught bullying other children on the school bus. Despite Thornhill punishing his son, he also saw the humor in his disciplinary ways. 'The good news is guys he keeps up a pretty good mile pace, 6 miles and hour so far. Yesterday he was apparently a little rude for Michelle in the morning, so even though it's raining this morning he still gets to run.' Apparently the punishment has been working as he claims his son's behavior has 'been much better', and that his 'teacher's have approved of his behavior this week.' Thornhill added 'he hasn't got in trouble at school this week, whereas last week he was absolutely out of his mind. This right here is called parenting.' The father was adamant that his son would learn from this. 'We're gonna make sure that one way or another his teacher's are gonna be able to enjoy his company at school, he's not disrupting his classmates and everything else.' He finished the video with 'Teach your kids, don't be a friend, be a parent. That's what children need these days.' This was right in my old neighborhood. Oh and thank you for what you did as a parent. My daughter is autistic and my son can be targeted by bullies too and you just made life easier for us.

Is there any entitlement to free transportation at all in the USA, when the distance from home to school is just 1 mile? I'm from Germany, and we have school busing only for challenged kids in urban areas. There is entitlement for free transportation in public transport, if the distance from home to school is 1,2 mi. for 1-4 graders, and 2 mi for 5-10 graders. So I always walked to school formerly, and it was up/downhill, while in this case the way was flat.

Here’s my take on parenting. Kids changed back in the late 70’s and 80’s when moms had to go to work. Back in the early 70’s and before that moms were at home for the Most part. Kids had some type of structure. Since then they have done what they want. Eaten what they want. Watch what they want. And it seems kids whose parents divorce the kids are to often used as pawns.

for those saying this is abuse... i think he actually enjoyed it... little man gave his 100% if for nothing else than to prove to his father and to himself that he could do it... little boys need tough love, so thay can grow up into tough men who can raise strong families... so good on that dad...

This is what parenting is to all you snowflake parents out there, these days. It's also why single mothers are BAD and a father should be in his son's life... to keep him in check. A+ parenting... would have less school shootings if kids were raised by a mother/father and appropriately disciplined and parents were involved in their kids' lives day in and out (like they should be).

Note to SINGLE MOTHERS: This is what your children are missing. This man's children have a statistically high chance of turning out to be well balanced productive members of society. Whereas yours have a high chance of turning out to be trash. And all because instead of choosing what is good for your child (a good man), you chose what was good for yourself (your career and/or to sleep with some trash guy). Feminism literally ruins the lives of children.
teanna jackson (3 months ago)
Red Pill how the hell did no one respond to you sooner. Just because a mother choses to be a single parent it automatically means they fucked a "trash guy". How dare you.

Warning to snowflakes! This is how you raise a child.

Why was he bullying in the first place?
James C. (8 months ago)
That’s not the first time this method has successfully been used in Roanoke ;) No harm done, better lungs and a much greater appreciation of busses.

I see no problem with this, after all it's how Forest Gump went to school everyday.
adhfan75 (8 months ago)
True, although if I remember, wasn't Forrest running because he was being bullied & chased by those guys in the pickup?

I agree with this father 100%. Tough love is what kids need these days more than ever.I have two grown sons of my own who are now hard working men and very respectful to others. I see a lot of parents who want to be friends to their children rather than being good parents. And their kids are spoiled little brats with shitty attitudes who act like everyone should kiss their ass like their parents do. Unfortunately these kids will grow up to be shitty ppl.

This father is doing what good father does. Children do not get kicked off buses for minor infractions. Thank you.

Awesome dad!!! Son gets kicked off bus for bullying for 3 days. This punishment won't be forgotten by his son for a while. Full backpack and in the rain for a mile. Sounds like my military days. Great job parenting!!!
adhfan75 (8 months ago)
I agree. Although hopefully the boy isn't running because he's afraid his dad would run over him with his truck if he didn't run. lol (Still though, the fact that his dad was following him was caring too. Knowing that if he tripped & fell while jogging maybe the dad could pick him up if he needed it.)

Some kids have mental issues, and that's the reason they behave inappropriately. So, they need more than discipline, and love. They need professional help, plus the love of their parents, but the child could still turn out to be a bad person. The key is not to give up on our children. Troubled kids need love, and lots of attention.
marcin97 (7 months ago)
typical BS excuses. Professional help? please!
xtscarface M (8 months ago)
My mom gave me one or two slaps when i deserved it when i was bout this age. No mental problems here. And did i ever bullied another kid in my life??? Nope leasson was learned!
ThomasSFH (8 months ago)
And a kick in the ass
Lindi Mashinini (8 months ago)
Yeah trouble kids also need a good beating from time to time... just to put the fear of God in them, makes the whole "get them councelling and help" process a lot easier..
HUFFMANOF4 (8 months ago)
Ive Cece Rod that's just another excuse, all children have the ability to understand right from wrong. When people use that type of an excuse the parents are more of the problem(their lazy) and want to blame the system for their children's behavior.
