How to read a currency quote http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/forex/forex-trading.html PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! Let's look at some examples; EUR/USD - 1.32 - the currency on the left hand side is called the base currency. When trading a currency you are always trading one currency against another i.e. you trade them in pairs in relation to each other. For one EUR how many US Dollars do I get - and the answer to that is 1.32 USD/JPY - 102.5 For 1 USD you get back 102.5 Japanese Yen. GBP/USD - 1.58 For 1 Pound Sterling I get back 1.58 US $ EUR/USD 1.32 - 1.33 USD/JPY - 102.5 - 102.6 GBP/USD - 1.58 - 1.59 Let's say we go long GBP/USD - what we are doing is going long GBP, short USD i.e. buying Pound and selling Dollar. When we see a broker with a currency quote we will see two quotes say GBP/USD: 1.58 - 1.59. If we want to buy this we would need to buy at the ask of 1.59

Warren Buffett's most important investing advice is essential for all stock investors. In this video, we discuss Buffett's 3 rules for long term investment success and how you can apply them to your own portfolio. Subscribe here for more content: http://bit.ly/SubscribeMichaelJay ➤➤ VALUE INVESTING ACADEMY My investing education platform for new and experienced investors Learn more here: http://bit.ly/ValueInvestingAcademy ➤➤ JOIN MY DISCORD Private Discord Link: http://bit.ly/PrivateDiscord (Requires sign-up to free email list) In 1995, Warren Buffett shared his 3 most important investing principles during the Q&A session of Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting. In this clip, Warren Buffett was asked about how he estimates the intrinsic value of stocks and how that compares to the intrinsic value calculated by his mentor, Benjamin Graham. In classic Buffett fashion, he provides clear and timeless advice to investors that we can still use and apply today. Note that Buffett and Benjamin Graham, had developed distinct styles of value investing that affected how they valued stocks. Buffett places little to no consideration on book value of a company when evaluating whether or not to invest. Graham on the other hand focused almost exclusively on using a variation of book value to evaluate stocks, called “net-net” value. Both men found tremendous success in their lifetimes. Buffett acknowledges that there can be differences in the exact valuation technique, but the following three key principles should be applicable to every investor seeking long term investment success. Warren Buffett's FIRST key principle is your attitude towards the stock market. This is covered in detail in chapter 8 of the Intelligent Investor. It should be clear to investors that you must be comfortable with the fact that the market will swing over the course of time. Swings may be as high as 50% increases from an stock’s lowest price and 33% decreases of the stock’s highest price at various points over the next five years. Those stock quotations are there to be taken advantage of by investors, not the other way around. Below is one paragraph from that chapter which was highlighted by the editor as likely one of the most important passages in the entire book: The true investor is scarcely ever forced to sell his shares, and all other times he is free to disregard the current price quotation. He need pay attention to it and act upon it only to the extent that suits his book, and no more. Thus the investor who permits himself to be stampeded or unduly worried by unjustified market declines in his holdings is perversely transforming his basic advantage into a basic disadvantage. That man would be better off if his stocks had no quotation at all, for he would then be spared the mental anguish caused him by other persons' mistakes of judgment. – Benjamin Graham, Chapter 8 of The Intelligent Investor Warren Buffett's SECOND key principle is to invest with a margin of safety. This introduces the concept of intrinsic value. Intrinsic value refers to the value of a company or stock determined through fundamental analysis without reference to its market price. Understand that a stock’s price and a stock’s value are two different things, and that they don’t always align. Investing with a margin of safety means buying a stock only when it is trading below your estimate of its true intrinsic value. The larger the margin of safety, the lower the risk and higher potential for future returns. Warren Buffett's THIRD key principle is to look at stocks as businesses. This is a long term perspective that is less focused on short term stock prices and more on long term business prospects and performance. Buffett constantly will ask questions on a company’s business risk. Is the company capitalized in a way that puts the company at risk to creditors? Is the management team strong and aligned with shareholder interests? Does the company have a lasting competitive advantage or economic moat that protects it from competition? You will do better as an investor and think more about a business before investing in it or selling it off. The U.S. Stock Exchanges The U.S. stock market comprises three major stock exchanges for day trading. Stock exchanges are businesses that make their profits from commissions and services. The stock exchanges compete among themselves by appealing to different business niches. Each stock exchange has its own unique specialties, technologies, advantages, and, of course, disadvantages. If you’re looking for an introduction to day trading in the US, here’s your basic guide. Meet the New York Stock Exchange The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is located on the corner of Wall and Broad streets. It is the largest stock exchange in the world, based on the market value of the companies traded on it, and therefore the highest number of day traders participate on this exchange. The market value, known as market capitalization or “market cap,” multiplies the number of publicly held shares of stock by the exchange-traded price of each share. The market cap of stocks traded in the NYSE exceeded $21 trillion as of June 2017. The NYSE trading list comprises more than 3,000 companies. It wasn't so long ago that NYSE market orders were handled by humans known as floor traders. In those days, the execution time of an NYSE transaction could take up to two minutes. But the unavoidable has happened to the world's largest stock exchange. The revolution started slowly. Nasdaq, the United States’ first computerized stock exchange, became the model when it began operations in 1971. It took some time, but computers have now taken over most processes at the NYSE, despite strong opposition by the day traders. Computerized day trading has provided exactly what the public wanted: greater competition, fewer commissions, greater transparency, and higher execution speed. Meet the Nasdaq The Nasdaq (formerly known as NASDAQ when it was an acronym for National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations) was established in 1971 as the world's first electronic stock exchange. Unlike the NYSE, it immediately computerized all of its trade processes. From that point on, day traders no longer needed to compete over each other’s shouts on the trading floor. Everything was push-button. The result: commissions slowly dropped, the quality of service improved, competition grew, and companies of a new type issued stocks and raised trillions of dollars. Within two decades, and with the proliferation of the internet, Nasdaq was accessible in the home of every trader. For the first time, the road to private trading was opened, day trading classes were being offered as were more services for beginner day traders. We can, in fact, say that the profession of day trading as we know it was born with Nasdaq’s founding. Meet the NYSE American The NYSE American was first established in 1842 as the American Stock Exchange. The NYSE acquired this stock exchange in 2008. NYSE American is now the NYSE's market for small-cap companies. The Consolidated Quotation System (CQS) is the electronic service that provides quotation information for stock traded on the American Stock Exchange, New York Stock Exchange, and other regional stock exchanges in the United States and also includes issues traded by FINRA member firms in the third market. NASDAQ processes this data and provides it to its subscribers as the Composite Quotation Service. The initials CQS may be used either for the exchange system or the NASDAQ service. In July 1978, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission declared the Consolidated Quotation Plan effective. In August 1978, the CQS commenced full operation with the Boston, Midwest, New York, Philadelphia and Pacific Stock Exchanges reporting quotations in NYSE-listed securities. NASDAQ joined the CQ Plan at the end of 1978 and began to disseminate quotations over CQS in early 1979. In November 1979, the Cincinnati Stock Exchange became a CQ Plan Participant and commenced disseminating quotations in mid-1980. The Consolidated Tape Association (CTA) is the operating authority for both the Consolidated Quotation System and the Consolidated Tape System (CTS).

What is FINANCIAL QUOTE? What does FINANCIAL QUOTE mean? FINANCIAL QUOTE meaning - FINANCIAL QUOTE definition - FINANCIAL QUOTE explanation. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A financial quotation refers to specific market data relating to a security or commodity. While the term quote specifically refers to the bid price or ask price of an instrument, it may be more generically used to relate to the last price which the security traded at ("last sale"). This may refer to both exchange-traded and over-the-counter financial instruments. The bid price (also known as the buy price) and the ask price (also known as the sell price) of a security are the prices (and often quantities) at which buyers and sellers are willing to purchase or sell that security. The bid shows the current price at which a buyer is willing to purchase shares, while the ask shows the current price at which they are willing to sell. The quantities at which these trades are placed are referred to as "bid size" and "ask size". For instance, if a trader submits a limit order to buy 1,000 shares of MSFT at $28.00, this order will appear in a market maker for MSFT's book with a bid of $28.00 and a bid size of 1000. The difference between the bid and ask price is known as the bid–ask spread. Level 1 quotations represent realtime bid/ask data, the most commonly displayed market data. Level-1 data typically will display the Best-Bid-Offer ("BBO" or "Inside Quote"), i.e., the lowest ask and highest bid available at the time. Level 2 data displays the best bid and ask prices (also known as "top-of-book") for each market participant in a given security. In other words, at a given time there may be several market makers participating in trade matching for a specific stock. Level 2 data will display the highest bid and lowest ask for each individual market maker. Level 2 information is of interest to traders and brokers because it indicates the buying and selling pressure behind individual securities. Similar in format to live streaming share prices, a typical Level 2 screen is split in two vertical halves and will show orders on both the bid price of a security (left-hand side) and the offer price (right-hand side). On major, heavily traded stocks the "depth" of the orders can quite often be in excess of 20/30 orders to both buy and sell at lower (left) and higher (right) prices. Traders can use this information to predict the short-term movement of a share or security in conjunction with volume traded, and attempt to profit from this information, which is usually legal as the information is in the public domain. The reason for this is that market makers sit “behind” such a screen by being obliged to both buy and sell the share at the posted price up to what is known as normal market size. For certain market centers such as NASDAQ, a full depth-of-book (DOB) is available, whereby every quotation for every market participant is displayed. The stock exchange electronic trading system (SETS) is an electronic order-driven system for trading the UK bluechip stocks including FTSE 100 and FTSEurofirst 300 stocks. The SETS order book matches buy and sell orders on a price/time priority. On SEAQ (the quotes system that we looked at in a previous article) all buys and sells go through a market maker who acts as an intermediary. The basis of SETS is that it directly matches willing buyers and sellers, creating efficiency in the markets by doing away with the intermediary of the market maker. This efficiency is true while the SETS system is populated by the most liquid and heavily traded stocks, but if matched bargains operate on less liquid stocks, waiting for a buyer to match with a seller could take hours, days or weeks. Because of the efficiency of the SETS system stocks traded tend to have narrow spreads so the cost of entry and exit from a position is much smaller. As an individual investor, should you wish to buy or sell a SETS stock, your broker will invariably still trade through a market maker, who will not display separate prices but simply use the SETS Level 2 screen to indicate where the market lies.

The NASDAQ Stock Market, also known as the NASDAQ, is an American stock exchange. "NASDAQ" originally stood for "National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations Systems," but the exchange's official stance is that the acronym is obsolete. It is the largest electronic screen-based equity securities trading market in the United States and fourth largest by market capitalization in the world. With 2919 ticker symbols, it has more trading volume than any other electronic stock exchange in the world.

I got a lot of complaints from people trying to download stock prices automatically from Yahoo. It's been a big issue for people, so I created a video for doing the exact same thing from Google! Here's how to automatically download stock quote data from Google Finance. The background is that Yahoo was seeing less traffic on their website because people were downloading their data without going to the website to do it. So they changed the way their site works so that you have to actually pull up the page in order to download the data. Google isn't having that problem (either because they make so much money, or because they don't care) so you can still pull the data from them for now. Go to Google.com/Finance and get the historical prices for a stock that you want. Follow along this video to get it fixed.

There are two ways to quote a currency pair, either directly or indirectly. A direct currency quote is simply a currency pair in which the domestic currency is the quoted currency; while an indirect quote, is a currency pair where the domestic currency is the base currency. So if you were looking at the Canadian dollar as the domestic currency and U.S. dollar as the foreign currency, a direct quote would be USD/CAD, while an indirect quote would be CAD/USD. The direct quote varies the domestic currency, and the base, or foreign currency, remains fixed at one unit. In the indirect quote, on the other hand, the foreign currency is variable and the domestic currency is fixed at one unit. For example, if Canada is the domestic currency, a direct quote would be 1.18 USD/CAD and means that USD$1 will purchase C$1.18 . The indirect quote for this would be the inverse (1/1.18), 0.85 CAD/USD, which means with C$1, you can purchase US$0.85. In the forex spot market, most currencies are traded against the U.S. dollar, and the U.S. dollar is frequently the base currency in the currency pair. In these cases, it is called a direct quote. This would apply to the above USD/JPY currency pair, which indicates that US$1 is equal to 119.50 Japanese yen. However, not all currencies have the U.S. dollar as the base. The Queen's currencies - those currencies that historically have had a tie with Britain, such as the British pound, Australian Dollar and New Zealand dollar - are all quoted as the base currency against the U.S. dollar. The euro, which is relatively new, is quoted the same way as well. In these cases, the U.S. dollar is the counter currency, and the exchange rate is referred to as an indirect quote. This is why the EUR/USD quote is given as 1.25, for example, because it means that one euro is the equivalent of 1.25 U.S. dollars. Most currency exchange rates are quoted out to four digits after the decimal place, with the exception of the Japanese yen (JPY), which is quoted out to two decimal places.

Bitcoin arbitrage auto trading bot http://westernpips.com/bitcoin-arbitrage-auto-trading-crypto-bot.html skype: westernpips.com mail: [email protected] New opportunities for cryptocurrency arbitrage and bitcoin earning in all most popular cryptocurrency market Attention please! New! The company Westernpips Group presents a completely new product for the fastest growing and popular today's crypto currency market. The program Westernpips Crypto Trader 1.7 was created with the purpose of consolidating quotes from all the largest stock exchanges in the trade of crypto currency, analyzing the received quotes and further automatic conclusion of transactions on these exchanges. A large number of crypto currency exchanges gives unlimited opportunities for applying classical arbitrage between these exchanges. Arbitrage situations arise constantly and the opportunity to make money on this now exists with our customers. The current version of the program is connected to the largest for today sites for trading bitcoins: BITFINEX, BITSTAMP, BITTREX, GDAX, KRAKEN, POLONEX and this list will be constantly expanded as the program expands and its functionality. Now the program receives quotes from crypto currency exchanges and displays them in the final table, where immediately the current discrepancies in prices on different crypto currency exchanges are calculated, and you can clearly see the signals for making transactions for buying and selling. The automatic trade function is not yet available, but it is already completed by 70% and will be available in the next update of the program. We did not wait and released the program right now, because you can already make deals manually on various exchanges and start earning on incoming signals. Also available is the transaction emulation mode, in which you can test the current backlog and understand between which exchanges it is better to arbitrate and what is the average time for the divergence and convergence of quotes. According to our calculations, this is an average of 1-8 minutes. It is also possible latency arbitrage to the execution of the transaction is less than 1 minute. Much more opportunities for latency arbitrage trading will give you the function of importing quotes from crypto currency exchanges directly to the Meta Trader4 / Meta Trader5 / cTrader terminals. Quotes come directly from the Crypto-Currency Exchanges using API connection technology and this gives an advantage in speed ahead of Forex terminals. Expert advisor “Newest PRO 3.7 Crypto Bot” will trade automatically on the received quotations and your settings. The program is implemented in the console application, which makes it very fast and low-cost on the resources of the VPS server. Now many brokers actively add to their terminals the ability to trade on crypto-currencies, in particular on the BTCUSD course. This is a new market and a new chance for all arbitrage traders! Hurry! You need to start right now with the new program Westernpips Crypto Trader 1.7!
