Why “C” Students Are More Successful Than “A” Students

11:07
How to be More Successful. We all try to get good grades to later get a well-paid job and succeed in life. Most people including our parents believe it is a direct toad to success. However, according to Robert Kiyosaki, author of Why ‘A’ Students Work for ‘C’ Students and ‘B’ Students Work for the Government, it’s actually the other way around. It’s “A” students that end up being employed by “C” students. We found 8 reasons why “C” students are often more successful in life. Now that’s some food for thought if you want to transform your own life or give good advice to your kids. TIMESTAMPS “C” students question the significance of the academic system. 1:30 They’re not afraid to fail or get bad grades. 2:37 “C” students are risk takers. 3:39 They’re not submissive followers. 4:45 “C” students have people skills. 5:34 They find simpler ways to get things done. 6:30 “C” students are dreamers. 7:16 They have their own definition of success. 7:53 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -“C” students are more interested in a straightforward approach and unfortunately for them, academia doesn’t offer that. They hack their way into the system by taking on odd jobs or learning outside of school. -While “A” students aim for perfection on their first try, “C” students aren’t afraid to fail, even several times! They embrace their shortcomings and learn from them. -“C” students, who received their fair share of “Fs” in their academic life, aren’t afraid to leap into the unknown. They take calculated risks to figure out what they really want in life. -“C” students tend to question everything. They’re not the “Yes” group; they’re more like the “Yes, but…” team. -Besides experimenting in the work force, “C” students also devote themselves to building networks that can benefit them in the long run when they enter the real world. -“C” students don’t wanna put much energy into accomplishing a task, they’d rather be investing their time and effort in pursuing their dream. -“C” students are more interested in thinking about what they wanna do in life rather than being stuck in the four walls of a classroom. -“C” students decide what they want done, and “A” students are good at taking and follow these instructions. A Japanese Method to Develop Creativity in Kids

09:17
Japanese people are known for their intelligence, politeness, and wellness. Why is this nation so unique and different from the rest of the world? It seems we’ve found the answer – they have an incredibly cool education system and unique teaching methods! There is a unique method in Japanese schools for developing creativity in kids. We believe that the whole world needs to adopt it! It’s called “Nameless paints.” In this video, we'll tell you how it works. Watch till the end – there is a small but brilliant bonus for you. Other videos you might like: 15 Examples of Japanese Etiquette That Will Drive You Crazy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SR-H7yr9Ceo& Why Japanese Are So Thin According to Science https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxsnYsA549Y& 8 Japanese Parenting Rules All Kids Need https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_gnpIs8qMo& TIMESTAMPS: “Nameless paints” 0:34 Manners before knowledge 2:58 The academic year starts on April 1st 3:33 Students clean their school themselves 4:18 School lunch is provided on a standardized menu 4:59 After-school workshops are very popular 5:32 Students learn Japanese calligraphy and poetry 6:15 Students have to wear school uniform 6:50 The school attendance rate is about 99.99% 7:23 A single test decides the students’ futures 7:55 College years are the best ’holidays’ in life 8:32 SUMMARY: - “Nameless paints” includes ten tubes that don’t have color names such as “yellow,” “blue,” or “green.” Instead, there are only spots of a particular color or colors on each tube. As you can see, the spots are also different sizes. - In Japanese schools, students don’t take any exams until they reach grade four (the age of 10). The goal for the first three years of school is not to judge the child’s knowledge, but to establish good manners and to develop their character. - While most schools in the world begin their academic year in September or October, in Japan, it is April that marks the start of the academic and business calendar. The first day of school often coincides with one of the most beautiful natural phenomena — the time of cherry blossom. - In Japanese schools, students have to clean the classrooms, cafeterias, and even toilets all by themselves. Most Japanese schools do not employ janitors or custodians. - All classmates eat in their classroom together with the teacher. This helps build positive teacher-student relationships. - To get into a good junior high school, most Japanese students enter a preparatory school or attend private after-school workshops. - Japanese calligraphy, or Shodo, involves dipping a bamboo brush in ink and using it to write hieroglyphs on rice paper. - While some schools have their attire, traditional Japanese school uniform consists of a military style for boys and a sailor outfit for girls. - At the end of high school, Japanese students have to take an exam that determines their future. A student can choose one college they would like to go to, and that college has a particular score requirement. - Having gone through ‘examination hell,’ Japanese students usually take a little break. In this country, college is often considered the best years of a person’s life. Sometimes, Japanese people call this period a ‘vacation’ before work. Are Students Juuling in Your Classroom?

03:58
JUULing and other forms of vaping have become extremely popular among teenagers. JUULs are tiny and look more like computer thumb drives than cigarettes, which makes them hard for teachers to detect. Also, they come in different flavors and don’t emit much vapor. These devices contain a lot of nicotine and can disrupt a classroom, and students’ learning, in serious ways. Education Week’s Kavitha Cardoza has some tips on how educators can recognize JUULing and what they can do about it. Why College Is So Expensive In America

18:05
College in the United States is expensive. The cost of higher education just keeps going up. Tuition costs at both public and private universities have doubled since the late 80s, while accounting for inflation. "I think that it's so ingrained in your head that you have to go to college, that college is the next step after graduation," said Jarret Freeman, a college graduate with roughly $50,000 in student debt. "I think in hindsight, I see that college is not for everyone." But a college education is becoming more and more necessary to succeed in today's economy. Georgetown University estimates that by 2020, 65 percent of all jobs will require more than a high school degree. Students graduate with an average of $37,172 in student loan debt. It all adds up to $1.5 trillion across the country. Watch the video above to learn how higher education became big business, hear from former students facing mounting debt and explore why it's so important to solve the student debt crisis.» Subscribe to CNBC: http://cnb.cx/SubscribeCNBC About CNBC: From 'Wall Street' to 'Main Street' to award winning original documentaries and Reality TV series, CNBC has you covered. For Students: http://l.prageru.com/29SgPaX JOIN our Educators Network! http://l.prageru.com/2c8vsff Script: If every high school principal gave the following speech, America would be a much better place. To the students and faculty of our high school: I am your new principal, and honored to be so. There is no greater calling than to teach young people. I would like to apprise you of some important changes coming to our school. First, this school will no longer honor race or ethnicity. I could not care less if you are black, brown, red, yellow or white. I could not care less if your origins are African, European, Latin American or Asian, or if your ancestors arrived here on the Mayflower or on slave ships. The only identity this school will recognize is your individual identity—your character, your scholarship, your humanity. And the only national identity this school will recognize is American. This is an American public school, and American public schools were created to make better Americans. If you wish to affirm here an ethnic or racial identity—or a national identity other than American —you will have to attend another school. This includes after-school clubs. I will not authorize clubs that divide students based on identities such as race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or whatever else may become in vogue in our society. Those clubs cultivate narcissism—an unhealthy preoccupation with the self—while the purpose of education is to get you to think beyond yourself. This school’s clubs will be based on interests and passions—clubs that transport you to the wonders and glories of art, music, astronomy, languages you do not already speak, and more. If the only extracurricular activities you can imagine being interested in are those based on ethnicity, race or sexual identity, that means that little outside of yourself really interests you. Second, I do not care whether English is your native language. My only interest in terms of language is that you leave this school speaking and writing English as fluently as possible. The English language has united America’s citizens for over 200 years, and it will unite us at this school. Furthermore, I would be remiss in my duty to ensure that you will be prepared to successfully compete in the job market, if you leave this school without excellent English-language skills. We will learn other languages here—it’s deplorable that most Americans only speak English—but if you want classes taught in your native language rather than in English, this is not the right school for you. Third, because I regard learning as a sacred endeavor, everything in this school will reflect learning’s elevated status. This means, among other things, that you and your teachers will dress accordingly. There will be a dress code at this school. And you will address all teachers by their title, not by their first name. They are your teachers, not your pals. School Dress Codes: When Do They Go Too Far?

07:10
With #dresscoded and #Imnotadistraction, school dress codes are coming under fire from students who say these policies can be sexist and racist. But many argue strict dress codes are necessary for a safe learning environment. So, how should schools decide on dress code policies? TEACHERS: Get your students in the discussion on KQED Learn, a safe place for middle and high school students to investigate controversial topics and share their voices. https://learn.kqed.org/topics/27 ABOVE THE NOISE is a show that cuts through the hype and investigates the debates behind controversial and trending topics in the news. Hosted by Myles Bess. *NEW VIDEOS EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY* SUBSCRIBE by clicking the RED BUTTON above. Follow us on Instagram @kqedabovethenoise What are school dress codes? School dress codes are policies that mandate how students should dress in school. They vary from school to school, district to district. Are school dress codes sexist? Many people feel that some school dress code policies unfairly target women since most of the items that are banned are items that women would wear, like certain types of skirts and tops. Many also argue that school dress codes can be unfairly enforced based on body type, where more developed women or heavier women are punished more frequently compared to less developed or thinner women. Critics say that this sends the wrong message to young women about their bodies and contributes to the sexualization of young women. Are school dress codes racist? Many people feel that some school dress code policies unfairly target people of color by banning things that may wear like durags, hair wraps, braids, and dreadlocks. Critics argue this criminalizes culture, and can lead to a system where students of color are getting disciplined more for dress code violations. What are advantages of dress codes? Many proponents of dress codes feel that dress codes contribute to a safe learning environment. Dress codes that prohibit gang related clothing or clothing that others may find offensive or distracting helps create an environment where students can focus on their education rather than distracting or dangerous clothes. Many also feel that strict dress codes help prepare students for work life after school, since many jobs require employees to dress a certain way. School vs Homeschool: Which Student Does Better?

Whatever you need a website for, create yours today with Wix: https://www.wix.com/go/infographics Traditional school vs homeschool. Which one is better? What to do? You don’t have the cash to send your child to private school, where most kids seem to do very well in terms of academic performance, and benefit from the sometimes-lucrative relationships made there. Then again, the local public school in your neighborhood doesn't feel up to snuff; the class sizes are too big, and it doesn’t have a great reputation. So, who’s to say your child won’t benefit from your own knowledge, that you secretly consider to be superior to the average teacher’s. But you worry: not giving your child the opportunity to socialize with other kids might take away an important part of growing up? Is homeschool worth it? That’s what we’ll find out, in this episode of the Infographics Show, Traditional School vs Homeschool. Top 10 Reasons to Use Technology in Education: iPad, Tablet, Computer, Listening Centers

The following reasons should silence the nay-sayer and help them heed the wisdom from Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach, "Teachers will not be replaced by technology, but teachers who don't use technology will be replaced by those who do.". Teachers are finding that using different classroom technologies like tablet computers, digital video, iPods, and video games are great tools for helping students learn. Kindle ereader nook 1. Students love it. Students love using new technologies in the classroom. Whether it be the "cool" factor or just a genuine interest in new technology, it allows teachers to vary activities of the day and engage students. There is no commandment for education that says, "THOU SHALT NOT HAVE FUN" Students spend hours using technology like computers and television when they get home from school--why not engage them through their favorite mediums? 2. It engages the Four Key Components to Learning. Click on the link to read how technology in education (specifically the iPod School Listening Center) engages the 4 key components to learning. 3. Professional Development. Using new technologies allow students to learn another skill set that will help them in the marketplace. How many jobs need basic computing skills let alone advanced computing skills? Any time a teacher can encourage students to learn through technology, they kill two birds with one stone. The tech industry is only getting bigger--encourage your students to know and understand technology so they can be the tech leaders of the future! With the power of the internet, knowing how to use a simple piece of technology can turn an aspiring singer into Justin Bieber (whose mom uploaded videos of him singing which led to his fame) and a hilarious prankster into YouTube Star EdBassmaster, who recently used an AmpliVox Sound Cruiser PA System in a video (that is approaching 1,000,000 views!). EdBassMaster "Look at This" Video with Sound Cruiser 4. Makes Life Easier for Teachers. Teachers have to juggle a variety of tasks outside of teaching including planning lessons, grading, meeting with parents, and some administrative work. Why not help yourself out and put objective tests online so that students can instantly see their grades instead of spending valuable time grading? 5. It Improves Test Scores. A benefit of engaging students through technology and media is allowing them to work at their own pace and not be held back by students who learn at a slower rate. This can allow gifted students to progress several grades ahead of their peers over the course of a year. Another proof of improved test scores comes from reaching different learning styles through the use of technology. The use of electronic drilling in education can help students learn quickly and provide incentives like games for them to keep progressing. Nobody does this better than Khan Academy. 6. Helps Students with Low Attention Spans. Students with ADD or ADHD can be aided through the use of technology by mixing up the learning process with different methods and through providing them engaging activities to keep their interest. Technology is a favorite among teachers who teach in ESL classrooms or special education settings. Even the best teachers can have their moments or topics when they are like Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller's Day Off or Charlie Brown's Teacher in the eyes of their students. Using technology keeps students awake and their attention level high. How hard is it for you to fall asleep while on the internet compared to hearing a lecture? 7. Learn from the Experts. With the an increasing amount of free resources available on the internet, you can engage your students with content from the smartest and best teachers in the world AmpliVox Sound Systems manufactures and sells portable sound systems along with lecterns and podiums with built-in sound systems that are perfect for classrooms. On Black People and (Higher) Education

31:13
The American education system is extremely broken, and the issues are only compounded when you are Black. Contrary to popular belief, education is not going to magically save Black people from racism, especially when every level of the academic system is designed to uphold and continue the cycle of white supremacy. Operating within academia is still operating within white supremacy, and we need to navigate those waters very, very carefully. Thanks for watching. "Student Council and Career Dreams in China" - Inside of Chinese High Schools (Part 3)

03:15
This video is endorsed by TeenKidsNews: http://www.teenkidsnews.com/ Many factors play into China's booming economy - one of which is its education. So, how do the Chinese do it? I found out through this interview with several students in two Chinese high schools. See the difference in the education of the other side of the world. Part 3 includes an interview of a member of the student council in China. Their duties are pretty similar to those of student councils in the US, but is much harder to become a member of. In this part, I've also interviewed all the participants on their future career dreams, asking them an interesting question I was asked before, "Do you want to be an banker or an engineer in the future? Bankers do nothing and get everything, while engineers do everything and get very little." It was interesting to see how most answered that they wanted to be the "engineer" type, but that the one who wanted to be a "banker" said that they were too exhausted from the constant work in school. However, the last response was probably the most genuine, in that he wanted to be the "engineer" type but still make lots of money like the "banker" type. I've also had the opportunity to witness 20th High's weekly flag raising ceremony. Every Monday, every student and staff member in the school assembles in the courtyard to march and salute the flag with the national anthem. Select students are nominated to write and orate a partriotic essay. Beyond Bathrooms: The Transgender Student Experience

08:54
The battle over bathroom access for transgender students is heating up. The U.S. departments of Justice and Education issued a directive last month for the nation's schools to allow students access to the restrooms, locker rooms, and sex-segregated activities that match their gender identities. That guidance carries with it an implicit threat that schools found in violation could lose federal education funding. Supporters of the directive argue that Title IX, the federal civil rights law that prohibits sex discrimination in education, applies to gender identity as well. But opponents, including a group of states that has sued over the federal guidance, argue that the agencies are misinterpreting the law and overstepping their legal authority. Stuck in the middle of the legal battle are transgender students, who say that their needs at school extend well beyond bathrooms. Education Week Special Correspondent Yasmeen Qureshi profiles a transgender student who worked with educators at her Kentucky high school to create a welcoming environment for all students. This video aired on PBS NewsHour on June 7, 2016. More on this topic is available here: http://www.edweek.org/ew/articles/2016/05/27/transgender-students-and-bathrooms-what-should-schools.html ____________________ Want more stories about schools across the nation, including the latest news and unique perspectives on education issues? Getting Students' Names Right: Why It Matters

01:31
Students at Downtown College Prep Alum Rock High School in San Jose, Calif., describe how their names get mispronounced and misspelled in school. They are taking part in "My Name, My Identity," a new national campaign to raise awareness among educators for respecting students' names and pronouncing them correctly. The campaign is a partnership between the National Association for Bilingual Education; the Santa Clara County, Calif., Office of Education; and the California Association for Bilingual Education. The case against education (Part 2) – interview with Bryan Caplan | VIEWPOINT

18:41
Author Bryan Caplan argues that education doesn't enhance students' skills, but merely certifies their intelligence and work ethic. Instead of developing human capital, schools and credentials signal that students will make hard-working, smart, conformist employees. Interview conducted by AEI's Nat Malkus. It is expected that there are one or two questions related with this Rule in the HSSC Recruitment exams especially those for the teachers. We are providing you some of the facts related with this Section called Haryana Education Code – Section 134-A. Haryana Education Article 134-A – The Punjab and Haryana High Court validated School Education Rule 134-A after the trial of 5 years and 17 orders. Private schools had filed a review petition which the Hon High Court had quashed on April 1st, 2015. All the Private Schools of the state had pleaded saying that it was not possible for them to give admission to the children of poverty class at Govt Fees. Here they pointed that the exorbitant expenditures involved in paying salaries and good infrastructure. The decision was delivered by the bench comprising Justice Satish Kumar Mittal and Justice H.S. Sidhu. They said in the joint statement that all the Private schools couldn’t be exempted from this ruling for exempting a few genuine schools which can’t do so such as the petitioner one. As per the High Court Ruling, the govt shall pay 25% for the initial classes and 10% from 2nd to 8th classes. The court emphasized that the poor children must get free-of-cost quality education. They can’t be deprived of the quality education just because they are poor. Key Points regarding Article 134- A – Only those families whose annual income is less than Rs 2 lakh can take this benefit for the admission of their children. The Fee in the private schools shall be equal to that of in the Govt Schools. ================================================ Do consider subscribing to our channel https://www.youtube.com/karamazu?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook Fan Page: https://www.facebook.com/karamazu Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/karamazupasa Twitter: https://twitter.com/karamazupasa Blog: http://karamazupasa.blogspot.com Quora: https://www.quora.com/profile/Pardeep-Sangwan-3 Google Plus: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+KaraMazuTechMafia ================================================ If you have any suggestions, questions, facing any problem; please leave the comment below. Do Schools Discriminate Against Boys?

06:07
Exam results suggest that girls are overtaking boys across the academic spectrum. Is this really the case? In an article in The Province (June 12, 2014) entitled “The Guys Crisis: Boys are falling badly behind the girls at school,” author Paul Luke states, “By high school, girls’ grade point average outshines that of boys. In Canada, women make up almost 60 percent of university students.” He explains the phenomenon by suggesting that for too long the needs of girls were overlooked in school and now that things are more equitable, girls outshine boys in learning. Recently, however, Dr. Jim Dueck, author, former Assistant Deputy Minister of Education for the province of Alberta, and former head of Accountability and Student Assessment, performed a revealing analysis on current practices in student assessment. The results were not only remarkable but very disturbing, exposing what might well be an institutional suppression of the performance of male students.
