Articles. Time management. Habits. [FRDP #6]

11:04
It was my first week of "learning English" and it was interesting. I tried to get rid of my habit of overemphasizing articles. But the habits are really hard to get rid of as you will see. I'm also trying to find a time-management approach that would work for me and help me keep everything organized (but not too organized). Let's talk about it.

How to Manage Your TIME - Live Q&A - #AWeberChat

25:17
I'll be talking with Tom Tate, a project manager at AWeber to answer your questions about how to manage your time effectively. If you have a question, ask it here live :) Resources from Tom: One of the top articles on Pomodoro: http://lifehacker.com/productivity-101-a-primer-to-the-pomodoro-technique-1598992730 My favorite timer to use for Pomodoro: http://tomato-timer.com/# Trello, highly recommended app to check out: https://trello.com/ From Tom: "I started out in real estate and property management, helping to manage a few special projects for a property management company. I've always been into web technologies, marketing, and software development, so I jumped on an opportunity to be a project manager for a small web development shop in Philadelphia. As the only project manager there I managed all of our projects, clients, and directed the team's efforts. I left that agency about a year and a half ago to serve as the marketing project manager here at AWeber. At AWeber, I help implement the tools and processes that empower our team to be hyper focused and functional. I work with all of the departments at AWeber to ensure that teams are communicating effectively, we're hitting deadlines, and getting things done efficiently. I also try to make sure we have a lot of fun along the way. Outside of work, I have a couple of personal projects, a few freelance gigs, a house to take care of, and a crazy toddler (with another baby on the way!) All of this requires me to be on top of my time management game, which is why I'm excited to join the Q&A." Learn more at: http://www.aweber.com/believe.htm

I Adopted Rich People’s Habits, See How My Life Changed

09:10
Learn the secrets of success from those who built their own empires from scratch. You can try adopting the habits of super rich people and see how it will help you save money. Successful people are rarely night owls; they go to bed and wake up quite early. So this was the first habit I decided to take on. By the end of the first week, I noticed that I was able to do way more before noon than I could ever do during the whole day. One more week into the experiment I started waking up completely well-rested and excited to start a new day. Self-made successes swear by exercising every day for at least 30 minutes. After just 10 days, it already became a habit. I became more concentrated and calmer. If meditating helps successful people stay on top of their game, it should help me out too. Networking is like currency for successful people. A lot of successful people (like Steve Jobs, for instance) keep a super minimalistic approach to fashion, often wearing the same outfit every day. Truly smart and successful people control their expenses and don’t spend their money on useless things. Music: Operatic - Vibe Mountain https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Go to bed and wake up quite early 0:34 Exercise every day for at least 30 minutes 1:51 Meditate 3:01 Set goals and achieve them 3:57 Meet new people as much as you can 4:44 Read more useful books 5:34 Wear simple clothes 6:24 Be thrifty 7:10 Conclusion 8:08 SUMMARY -With will power of steel, I decided to wake up at the same time every day and come to work an hour early. It took me 3 days to get the schedule right. -The hardest part here wasn't even the gym itself, it was exercising after working all day. After just 10 days, it already became a habit. I started sleeping better and waking up easier. -Meditation turned out to be a really good way to get my head straight and renew my energy. -Even though I didn’t manage to tackle all my tasks, I was able to do more things in the first week than I did during the entire previous month. -I learned to find common ground with people from the get-go, met a lot of extraordinary individuals, and made some really good friends. -I carried a book with me at all times and read it on the way to work and back home or during lunch. As a result, by the end of the first month, I had finished my fourth book. -I no longer had to waste time every day choosing my outfit, deciding whether or not it matched or if it was trendy and whatnot. -I started out by making a list of everything that I bought every day so that I could see what I spent my money on. This system helped me save 40% of my salary in the first month and almost 60% in the second. -New habits really did completely change my life for the better. SEO For Beginners: 3 Powerful SEO Tips to Rank #1 on Google in 2019

09:21
SEO For Beginners: 3 Powerful SEO Tips to Rank #1 on Google in 2019 Are you new to SEO and want to rank #1 on google this upcoming year? Here are 3 SEO strategies that will boost your rankings! #1: Focus on content Google has this update called Hummingbird, and with Hummingbird, websites who just have content on everything won't do as well as sites which focus on one single niche and are super thorough. You want to be VERY thorough with your SEO content. Poke holes in your content and fill them all up, so then that way people are like, "This is the end all site "that you should end up reading "if you're interested in dating online." #2: Optimize your title tag and your meta description Have you ever done a Google search, and noticed that every time you do it, there is this link at the top, and then there's this one sentence with a link at the top is called the title tag. And the description below is called the meta description. Now think of it this way, if you search for the phrase online dating, and you don't see the word online dating in neither the title or the description, are you going to click on the result? Well if you are, there's something wrong, because why would you click on a result that isn't related to what you're looking for? In addition to that, have you ever searched for a term like online dating? And have you ever noticed that the word isn't in the title or description? That's because Google tracks who's clicking on what listing, and they've learned that when a keyword is in the listing, that same keyword that you're searching for, they know you're way more likely to click through. So in your title tag and your meta description, make sure you include the keyword. But you can't just add the keyword, "online dating," right? The easiest way and what I would do and I wish it was this simple; I will just put "online dating, online dating, online dating, online dating." If I could put it 20 times so people would know that the article is on online dating, I wish I would get more clicks. But it's not that simple. Yes you have to include the keyword in your title and your description, but it has to be appealing. If it doesn't flow in a sentence, it's not easy to read, and it's not appealing or evoking curiosity, no one is gonna click through. #3: Use Google Search Console Did you know that Google gives you a tool that teaches you how to rank number one on Google? Yes I know that sounds ridiculous but it is true, and it's called Google Search Console. If you're not already a user of it, sign up. It doesn't cost a dollar. You're missing out if you're not using it. I can't emphasize that enough. So now that you're using Google Search Console...give it a few days because it takes some time to populate data. You'll see a screen that shows Search Analytics and this shows you all the pages on your website that are getting you traffic. But the cool thing about Google Search Console is they also show you which articles are getting impressions. Take all the keywords you're getting impressions for and start adding them to your copy. Now we have an article on Instagram, and it teaches you how to get over 300 targeted Instagram followers per day. The article is around 10,000 words. When I first wrote that article, it wasn't 10,000 words, it was roughly 2,500. I went to Google Search Console, I saw all the people that are searching for terms related to the article, I added them within that article. I made it more thorough and you know what? My SEO traffic more than tripled to that article. Yes it is that simple. And when I made that change, it didn't happen right away, but I noticed the results within 50 days. That's not a long time. Now that you've learned these three tips, I challenge you in which I want you to take these tactics and implement them, and then after you implement them, in the next 45 days I want you to leave a comment with your results. Because if you're not doing well, that means I'm not happy. 7 Parenting Tips to Deal With a Naughty Child

09:24
Every child is different, and you need to find a unique approach to raising your beloved baby, but there are some golden rules that will help you deal with even the most disobedient ones. Parenting experts explain how you can get your kids to behave better and to do what they’re told in all kinds of situations. When your kid starts misbehaving and refuses to cross the road, either switch roles with them or give your kid a choice. Either they hold your hand or go in the stroller. In most cases, your kid will readily take your hand. What should you do if your child has misbehaved but isn't ready to face the music? Please keep in mind that emotional abuse is never the right way out. So instead of making your child stand in the corner for a long time, open up a dialogue and figure out together how their mistake can be fixed. In case your little isn’t excited about the morning meal, try “breakfast on a stick”. You just need a few wooden skewers and pieces of waffle, different fruit chunks, and berries. Kids have fun stabbing their food with the sticks, and this turns any old boring fork-and-knife breakfast into a cool game. It must be hard for kids to switch from a fun activity to a much less entertaining one. Turn it into a game called Follow the Leader. You can either lead yourself or let the child do it. In this case, they won't even notice the transition from play time to some routine activity. Long hours on the road are ten times more boring for kids than they are for adults. You can find tons of other fun car games on the Internet. They’ll definitely entertain your kids on a road trip while giving you some peace of mind as well. Music: Bubblegum Ballgame - JR Tundra https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS When they refuse to walk with their parents 0:51 When they won’t accept punishment for bad behavior 1:33 When they refuse to eat their meal but demand junk food 2:20 When they won’t eat their breakfast 2:58 When they refuse to get dressed 4:16 When they don’t want to stop playing in order to get ready for bed 5:30 When they’re misbehaving in the car 6:18 The main guidelines to follow to avoid conflicts 7:20 SUMMARY -To convince a child to keep walking, try switching roles with them. Let the child play the role of the parent, and you'll see that they'll immediately get into the game and do what you want them to. -In case your child won’t accept punishment, calmly explain why they’re guilty and why they're going to be punished. Let them have the right to choose even when they make mistakes: for example offer them to either have to pay a fine from their piggy bank or do the dishes for the next week. -When your child refuses to eat their meal, don't get frustrated, simply try to find compromises. Offer them dessert as a prize for cleaning up their plate. -If your kid refuses to have breakfast, keep them company. To make it more fun, suggest they count how many spoonfuls of cereal are left. You can also make it a bedtime tradition to ask your kid what they want for breakfast the next day to avoid unpleasant surprises. -If kids refuse to get dressed, try a challenging game: tell them you wanna see if they can put their clothes on blindfolded. You can also play the matching game: you choose a color, and the children need to find clothes that match. -To make your kid stop playing and go to bed, try playing the game “Follow the Leader”. You’ll be the leader, and your little one must follow. Make it fun: walk in a weird way, make sudden jumps and hops that your child must repeat. -To avoid misbehavior in the car, try playing the Fake Dreams game. Tell everybody in the car to close their eyes and make up a dream that they “see”. -Address the issue of fairness when you want to encourage children to behave well. You simply need to explain to your kids why it would be better for them to play along, and they’ll understand this. When a situation makes sense for children, they’re ready to cooperate. IELTS Reading: Read faster & remember more

05:21
On the IELTS Reading section, you have 60 minutes to read 3 different text passages (2200–3000 words) and answer 40 questions! That's CRAZY!!! To do well on the IELTS Reading, whether General or Academic, you NEED to be able to read quickly, and you NEED to be able to quickly identify important information. In this video, I'll share with you some of my tips on speed reading and also some tricks on how to quickly find the most important details in a paragraph. Your road to BAND 9 starts here! TAKE THE QUIZ: https://www.engvid.com/ielts-reading-read-faster-remember-more WATCH MORE IELTS READING VIDEOS: 1. IELTS READING OVERVIEW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=As4e8dtqBrk 2. IELTS READING: HOW TO SUCCEED: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbDliT5EN-w 3. IELTS READING: 3 STRATEGIES: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0ePX99GM70 4. IELTS READING: TRUE, FALSE, NOT GIVEN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNyLs7YWFL8 5. IELTS READING: TOP 10 TIPS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PDgVEhfKso TRANSCRIPT Oh, what a great book. Thank you, Jessica Whitehead. Are you doing an IELTS exam or will you be doing an IELTS exam in the future? Special shoutout to Pedro, thank you for helping me on this, and rock your exam. You're going to do it, boy. If you're studying IELTS, there's one section in the test that is difficult. They're all difficult, but it's the reading section. So, when you're doing your test, you have to read the passage quickly, you have to get all of the wonderful information, and then you have to answer the questions. So, what I want to help you do is something really cool called speed reading. When I was in grade 2, my teacher taught me something that was amazing. Usually when you read something, you take your little finger and you read along like this. So my teacher taught me at the young age of eight to get a bookmark, and instead of reading each word, you're going to read one whole sentence with an eyescape. So, instead of reading word by word with your little finger, you're going to put a bookmark on the sentence and you're going to focus on the sentence. This allows you to read something much faster. So, put your little finger away and grab a bookmark or a piece of paper. So, number six is: Use a bookmark. It helps you absorb the information faster. Another thing that you can do or not do is when you're reading: "The pizza was a wide pizza with ham and pineapple. It was the most exiting flavours, it was..." Don't read out loud. Two reasons: One, there're other people around you that you're probably disturbing, and there's probably been a scientific study that if you move your lips, you're doing extra work and you're kind of wasting time. Try and close your mouth. Don't: "Ra-ra-ra-ra" under your breath, don't move your lips. Just absorb it and read it. This helps you go through it faster and ultimately get that high score that you've all been looking for. Another tip is to pay attention to important key words. So, these are going to be things like dates and times, numbers, and proper nouns. So, please tell me you know what a proper noun is. A proper noun is a place or a person. It starts with a capital letter. So, one really, really good thing you can do is you can take your little highlighter and circle the important words. When you come back to the reading section or when you've read it, it sticks in your brain more. This is good for practicing, too. Some articles and some things have special punctuation. So, dashes. Dashes are a little line here and a little line at the end. There's a very, very good reason why they've used dashes, and that is they're telling you that this information is really important. It's giving you something extra or something that changes the idea about the sentence. So, the information between dashes or even between commas is put there for a reason, and it's probably got some wealth of information, maybe the answer to question number seven. Some readings that you have not necessarily on IELTS, but a newspaper if you're reading something for fun... Do people read for...? Yeah, they do read for fun, Ronnie. Okay. Is a special font. So, if the words are bold which means they're bigger; or if they're written in italics which means, like, handwriting; or if the words are underlined - this is going to give you some really strong information that it's important because they made it like this. When you first begin your IELTS test in the reading section, always read the questions first, then you'll know what information you're looking for. If you just read it willy-nilly without thinking about the questions, you've wasted a lot of time. So read the questions first, then go back and get the information that you need. And about paragraphs, this is a tricky thing that they do. I want you to read the first sentence, it's called the topic sentence. The topic sentence has... We'll say "the meat" or the importance of the paragraph. […]

It involves a juggling act of various demands upon a person relating to work, social life, family, hobbies, personal interests and commitments with the finiteness of time. Using time effectively gives the person "choice" on spending/managing activities at their own time and expediency. It is a meta-activity with the goal to maximize the overall benefit of a set of other activities within the boundary condition of a limited amount of time, as time itself cannot be managed because it is fixed. Time management may be aided by a range of skills, tools, and techniques used to manage time when accomplishing specific tasks, projects, and goals complying with a due date. Initially, time management referred to just business or work activities, but eventually the term broadened to include personal activities as well. A time management system is a designed combination of processes, tools, techniques, and methods. Time management is usually a necessity in any project development as it determines the project completion time and scope. It is also important to recognize that both technical and structural differences in time management exist due to variations in cultural concepts of time. The major themes arising from the literature on time management include the following: Creating an environment conducive to effectiveness Setting of priorities Carrying out activity around prioritization. The related process of reduction of time spent on non-priorities Incentives to modify behavior to ensure compliance with time-related deadlines.Time management is related to different concepts such as: Project management: Time management can be considered to be a project management subset and is more commonly known as project planning and project scheduling. Time management has also been identified as one of the core functions identified in project management. Attention management relates to the management of cognitive resources, and in particular the time that humans allocate their mind (and organize the minds of their employees) to conduct some activities.Organizational time management is the science of identifying, valuing and reducing time cost wastage within organizations. It identifies, reports and financially values sustainable time, wasted time and effective time within an organization and develops the business case to convert wasted time into productive time through the funding of products, services, projects or initiatives at a positive return on investment.

The Ultimate Life Purpose Course - Create Your Dream Career: http://www.actualized.org/life-purpose-course Leo's Top 140 Self Help Books http://www.actualized.org/books Full Video Transcript Here: http://www.actualized.org/articles/stress-management Video Summary: Stress is one of the most common problems of modern life. Stress is an emotional and chemical response to stimuli around us, but the problem lies inside our heads. Stress is most often associated with lack of time or money, or by relationships at work, home, or with family. Achieving better emotional control helps some folks handle stress much better than others, but some situations are inherently more stressful than others. Ideally, the long-term solution to stress is to overhaul your attitude via personal development work. But while you're working on that, there are some strategies to help you cope in the short-term. If your stress originates from too little money, the logical answer is to get a better-paying job. Too little time: slow down, prioritize, be realistic, and focus. Multi-tasking is a crazy-making oxymoron. If your stress originates in your relationships, stop blaming other people; stop trying to control other people; and focus on your own life and its direction. The best solution over-all for dealing with stress in the short-term is to know your values and your life's purpose and to stay grounded in yourself. 09:55
LOVELY DIY CRAFTS FOR KIDS We prepared for you a cool collection of life hacks for kids! Try to repeat them all and don't forget to tell us which idea was your favorite. One of my favorite ideas of this week is a cute DIY flower pen. You can make any boring pen more fun using foam. Try to use an egg shell as a middle of the flower and fold the petals of colorful foam pieces. This will be the gem of your working table! Nobody needs Cds anymore. You can make a lot of cool crafts using old Cds. We made a cute jewelry box out of a couple of Cds. Use foam for that craft – it's so adorable. Another sweet foam idea is a lovely bookmark. You can make cute candy boxes (which is extremely useful for the upcoming holidays) using thick paper and colorful ribbons. You can put other small presents into this creative package. Another lovely and unexpected craft is a very useful time management clock. This easy craft will tell you what to do and will help you to save time. Use your old toys for making a cool DIY lamp. This craft is definitely a creative masterpiece that can make your room definitely brighter. Watch this video up to the end and see how to make adorable tiny boxes for your presents and souvenirs for Christmas. Today, we collected a lot of adorable and very tricky school life hacks for you. Watch and repeat after us! Making your studies smarter is easier than it seems. For example, you can use a balloon to make a no-spill cup for painting. It's not good to copy in class, however, if you do it, do it smartly – in this video, you can find a couple of genius tricks to copy like a pro. Shhhh, don't tell anyone! An empty Tic-Tac box can be very useful. You can make a sticky tape dispenser out of a Tic-Tac box. An empty matchbox can be used to store pencil peels (just place a pencil sharpener inside the box and add a drop of glue to stick it properly). If you like spy movies, we have a cool trick for you. Use an empty lip balm container to hide your flash drive. Nobody will ever guess. In case you don't have scissors, a couple of plastic rulers can be just fine! If you forgot your pencil case at home, check out how a couple of rubber bands can be alternatively used to store your stationery. Another adorable idea is making a cool time-management clock using highlighters – this way you'll have time for everything. Watch this video up to the end and see how to fold your clothes neatly for your gym class. We end up telling ourselves that we’re just not ready yet, that we’ll do it next week, next month...next year. We might even pursue them with zeal at the start. But once we’ve made a small amount of effort, we’ll tell ourselves we’ve done enough, and it’s time to take this whole ‘starting a new life’ thing more slowly. Why does it always turn out like this? The answer’s fairly obvious: Because we try to achieve too much, too fast; because we get sick of the new responsibility; because it’s difficult to change old habits and try something new. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

IELTS – 3 Reading Strategies

16:51
Is the IELTS Reading section very challenging for you? Can't finish all the readings and questions before the time is up? In this lesson, you will learn three approaches to the IELTS Reading section and their pros and cons. The goal of this lesson is to help you finish the test on time without compromising your understanding of the readings. Learn how to read less while answering more questions correctly. After watching, make sure to do the quiz to test your understanding. Good luck on your test! https://www.engvid.com/ielts-3-reading-strategies/ https://www.GoodLuckIELTS.com/ https://www.writetotop.com/ WATCH NEXT IELTS Writing: The 3 Essay Types https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJ-Vyqxn1To TRANSCRIPT Hi again. Welcome back to www.engvid.com. I'm Adam. Today's lesson is about IELTS. As usual, with IELTS lessons, I will be speaking a little bit faster than normal. It's good for your listening practice. But if you're not taking the IELTS, you can still listen and try to follow us as we go through this section. So, let's begin. Today, I'm going to look at the IELTS reading section. I'm going to look at three different approaches to tackling the IELTS reading section. Students always ask me: "What should I do with the reading? How do I do it? How can I finish on time? How can I answer more questions?" Right? So I'm going to give you three approaches, three different ways to try to do the IELTS. Okay? We're going to look at three different ways. They're completely different from each other. The most important thing I want to tell you before we start: you have to know what works for you. Okay? One of these approaches will work for you; the others may not. Practice all three. If you're comfortable with one and it seems to work for you, and your score seems to be getting better, stick with that one and practice that one. Don't try to do all three each time. Figure out which one works, and just practice that one the most. Okay? The most obvious one and the first one we're going to talk about: read the entire passage, and then tackle the questions. Now, a few things to say, good and bad, about this approach. So, you have 20 minutes, let's say, that you're going to start from the first passage, you're going to do about 17 minutes; the second passage, you're going to spend 20 minutes; the last passage, you're going to spend 23, 24, 25 minutes. So, you have to do this very fast. So: can you read the entire passage and do the questions in that timeframe? Okay? That's the question you must ask yourself. Are you a fast reader? Can you comprehend everything you're reading? How is your vocabulary? Things like this. Some people, they must read everything, from beginning to end, and then go to the questions. But they can also keep; they can retain the information they've read, so when they go to the questions, they know where to go back and look for the answers. Now, the good part about this is that you have all the information in your head once you've read the entire passage. The bad part is that you're going to be reading the passage twice. Okay? Or not the whole passage, but you're going to read big chunks of the passage twice. You'll have read it the first time, you'll go to the questions, and then you'll be reading again to find the answers, because you're looking for specific words now. When you get to the questions, sometimes it's only one word difference from what you read in the passage. So, do I recommend this? Yes and no. If you're a fast reader and you can comprehend, then yes, do that. If you're not a fast reader, then no, don't do this. You'll be wasting too much time and reading more than you need to. What I'm going to do with these two approaches is show you how to read less. So you don't need to read the entire passage; you just need to read the areas that contain the answers to the questions. So, the second approach: go straight to the questions. You look at the question. First of all, understand the type of the question. Is it a multiple choice? Is it a fill-in-the-blank, like a summary? Are you looking for like headings for each paragraph? Are you looking for the title? Etc. Figure out what you're looking for, read the question carefully, pick out the keywords in the question or the key idea in the question, and then scan the passage. Don't read the passage. Just quickly look everywhere for where that information ought to be.

The Tool I Use To Dramatically Increase My Daily Productivity

59:58
Two of the biggest sticking points when it comes to managing your time are: 1) Having an orderly plan that keeps you focused and your day moving forward productively. Most people use a calendar, but a calendar has some serious limitations. A calendar may help you remember meetings and such, but it doesn't necessarily help you prioritize and know what should get your attention most. 2) Capturing all of the odds and ends of information that come your way throughout the day. Stacks of sticky notes, messages scribbled on envelopes and in margins of documents on your desk are common ways of catching this stuff, but these methods create needless clutter and are prone to walking off. First of all, don't fret. Conquering these two struggles can be quickly and effectively done with a single sheet of paper. I thought today it would be great to give you this exact tool I use to order my time every day and give you a personal tour of how I use it. This has been a life saving tool for me. This one sheet dramatically increases my productivity, prevents procrastination and helps me overcome my ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) every day. The top 7 things NOT to do when starting a business

I am enthusiastic about entrepreneur videos. I have searched on Youtube and Google and I always get videos/articles about what to do. I believe knowing what NOT to do is equally important. Usually, all I get is generic tips such as "dont grow too fast" but there are no concrete case studies. But when it comes to successful stories, there are specific examples we can learn from. I was thinking if maybe you can have videos/articles analysing and explaining how some real businesses failed, especially start ups. It would be great if you can use your influence to encourage entrepreneurs who have failed to share their stories with you. That way, the mistake will only be made by once because we all will have learnt from it Hopefully you'll consider my suggestion" ENGAGE * Subscribe to my channel: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=Modelingthemasters * Leave a comment, thumbs up the video (please!) * Suppport me: http://www.evancarmichael.com/support/ CONNECT * Twitter: https://twitter.com/evancarmichael * Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EvanCarmichaelcom * Google+: https://plus.google.com/108469771690394737405/posts * Website: http://www.evancarmichael.com EVAN * About: http://www.evancarmichael.com/about/ * Products: http://www.evancarmichael.com/zhuge/ * Coaching: http://www.evancarmichael.com/movement/ * Speaking: http://www.evancarmichael.com/speaking/ SCHEDULE * Mon - 1 Minute Mondays: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiZj-Ik9MmM2HwduoMCpvZRhd2qE22Fg- * Tues - Tech Tuesdays: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiZj-Ik9MmM3NGvdl33mEwdUdr19zti9s * Thurs - Thankful Thursdays: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiZj-Ik9MmM2Scsq-0Er3mA8U3Kqz9fiV * Fri - Famous Fridays: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiZj-Ik9MmM30QoA2ygo5RWzfQm8y7ScL * Sun - Famous Failures: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiZj-Ik9MmM2aeaKPqI5ILrNcLjbQZDob * Your Questions - Every day! I Decided to Sleep for 4 Hours a Day, See What Happened

12:29
One of the Bright Side writers decided to adjust his daily routine to leave only 2-4 hours for sleep! Do you ever think about how cool it would be if there were more hours in a day? You would easily have time for everything: work, hobbies, friends, and family or just lazing around doing nothing at all. But enough dreaming, let's get back to reality. The only way to make it happen is by sleeping less, but would that actually work without turning you into a tired grouch? TIMESTAMPS Where did the idea come from? 0:50 Day 1 2:48 Day 2 3:20 Day 3 3:46 Day 4 4:15 Day 5 4:55 Days 6-7 5:41 Days 8-10 6:20 Days 11-14 6:55 Pros of polyphasic sleep 7:30 Cons of polyphasic sleep 8:46 My thoughts after the experiment 9:48 SUMMARY If your life is like one big to-do list that you just can't seem to keep up with, then polyphasic sleep is probably for you. All jokes aside, I definitely became more productive, and I have a lot of spare time that allows me to do everything I want and even more. On the other hand, it can be difficult since the whole world is on a completely different regimen. Your friends and family might think it’s weird when you tell them you can't go out with them or ask them to pause a movie so you can take a nap. In any case, it's your choice to make. Just do your homework first, and then go for it! If this sort of dramatic change isn’t for you, don't worry! There are still lots of things you can do to improve your productivity.
