Ho Chi Minh City Airport - Arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Vietnam - Airport info

Airport Information: Watch all our AIRPORT VIDEOS here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCDYceM-oX0&list=PLFZOg4H3C0gH0HWWm8WfOmnnldFB-s6Op Arriving at Ho Chi Minh City Airport called Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN). If this is your first visit to the Ho Chi Minh City Airport (Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport) you should find this video helpful for getting an idea of the airport procedures when you arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Vietnam. PAYPAL "TIP JAR" If you enjoy our videos and are looking for a way to support this channel we do have a Paypal Tip Jar, ALL donations are used to bring you more videos. https://www.paypal.me/TravellerYT This Ho Chi Minh City Airport footage is filmed from the disembarkation of our flight, through the walk to Immigration / Passport Control (Vietnam Visa clearance etc. is not included in the footage as filming is not allowed in this part of Tan Son Nhat International Airport - quite normal at all airports in the world), from Immigration to the Baggage Claim Area (in the Baggage Claim Area of this airport we explain how to find out from which baggage belt you flights luggage will be offloaded on), after we receive our luggage we proceed towards the airport customs area. There is not an area of "Something to declare" "Nothing to Declare" like most other international arrivals customs areas at airports. At Ho Chi Minh City Airport all passengers instead have to run all their luggage through another security scanner from where airport customs officials van see what the luggage contains. After clearing customs we reach Ho Chi Minh City Airports main arrival area. From this area we recommend travelers to use the money exchange desks, Telephone card desks (SIM Cards) and taxi services, airport shuttle services and limousines or get information about Airport buses to Ho Chi Minh City. We advice that you shop around for the best exchange rate as exchange rates are negotiable and there can be a large difference in pricing. We also ordered a taxi to Ho Chi Minh City from the airport. The taxi service from the airport was a fixed price of 200 000 Vietnamese Dong which is a fair price although the taxi trip from Ho Chi Minh Airport to the city would probably have been cheaper by taxi meter (we did not want to take that chance as this was our first visit to Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Ho Chi Minh City and we had been warned that some taxi company taxi meters could not be trusted. The video footage from this airport ends with us walking out of the Airport and finding the taxi that will drive us into Ho Chi Minh City. #HoChiMinhAirport #HoChiMinhCity #airport #travel #TanSonNhatInternationalAirport Watch all our Travel Videos here: https://www.youtube.com/user/TravellerYT/playlists?flow=grid&view=1 Wiki writes about Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport, "Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport (Vietnamese: Sân bay quốc tế Tân Sơn Nhất, Vietnamese: Cảng hàng không quốc tế Tân Sơn Nhất) is the busiest airport in Vietnam with more than 23 million passenger movements per year. As of November 2016, it had a total capacity of only 20 million passengers, which has caused constant congestion and sparked debate for expanding or building a new airport. It was also among the top 50 busiest airports in the world in terms of passengers handled in 2015, serving Ho Chi Minh City as well as the rest of southeastern Vietnam. Its IATA code, SGN, is derived from the city's former name of Saigon. The airport is expected to handle 32 million passengers in 2016..." This footage is filmed inside and outside of Ho Chi Minh City Airport (SGN) called Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport). Ho Chi Minh City is located in Vietnam. Beijing airport (PEK): International arrival at the Terminal 3

05:34
Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) is the main international airport serving Beijing. Beijing Capital added Terminal 3 in 2008 in time for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, the second largest airport terminal in the world. It is also the second busiest airport in the world. This video shows the arrival process at terminal 3. It also shows the resources than are available in the arrival area. We also show the three transportation options to reach the city center: (1) the Airport Express which connects to the subway network; (2) buses that can take you to various places in the city (cheapest option); or (3) taxis. The Airport Express operates from 06h21 to 22h51. The fare is 25RMB, payable in cash. You can also pay using the transportation card (Yikatong). The card can be purchased at the ticket counter of the Airport Express. Here is a map of the Beijing subway: https://explorebj.com/subway/ You can also watch our video on how to use the Beijing subway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RI896M5OdSY There are many buses that can take you to various places in Beijing. This is the most economical mode of transportation. The list of bus lines as well as their stops, fares and schedules can be found on the official airport website: http://en.bcia.com.cn/traffic/airbus/index.shtml Taxis are the simplest way to reach your destination in Beijing. The fare to the center of the city is about 90 to 125RMB. Taxi drivers do not speak English. You need the name of your hotel as well as the address in writing in Chinese. This can usually be found on the hotel website. Taxis in Beijing use the meter. If your driver proposes a fixed rate, get out and take another taxi. In addition to the amount shown on the meter, you may have to pay the toll. Minivans are also available for larger families. We have just arrived on a Thai Airways flight from Bangkok at Kuala Lumpur International Airport KUL Malaysia´s main international airport. This video shows you the viewer (the traveler) a real time view of what it is like to arrive at Kuala Lumpur Airport. The video begins with us (Maxi and Maro) disembarking our flight and walking through the passenger bridge from the aircraft into the Kuala Lumpur Airport Terminal. Once in the terminal we have to find the correct direction to walk so that we can pass Immigration, visit the Baggage Collection Area and pass through customs. We quickly find the arrivals direction we must walk through the airport and on the way we pass some Duty Free Shops and Restaurants before we arrive in the main terminal departure area. From the Terminal Departure Area we find the driver less Kuala Lumpur Airport Shuttle which drives us from the Satellite Terminal to the main Airport Terminal. Kuala Lumpur Airport calls this train shuttle service between terminals the Aerotrain and it takes approximately 2 minutes to drive between the two terminals. Once we arrive in the Main Airport Hall we quickly pass through Immigration after which we make our way to the Airport Baggage Collection Area. Once we have collected our luggage we pass though the Airport Customs area and find ourselves in the Arrivals area where we head over tp one of the currency exchange counters to exchange money before buying our tickets for the KLIA Ekspres (The train between the airport and the city). The KLIA express drives between Kuala Lumpur International and KL Station (the main train station where you can make connections to other trains). We Always Go to This Money Exchange Place 💰 in Myeongdong Seoul 🇰🇷

This video is about the Best Money Exchange Area in Myeongdong Seoul. If you're looking for a hotel/hostel, checkout Philstay Myeongdong, Our home for this trip. Conveniently located within Myeongdong shopping street. Request the corner room facing NSeoul Tower to get a really nice view. We enjoyed our stay here. You can check it out here at Agoda.com: http://rcl.ink/bna Check out my video/vlogging gear here: http://rcl.ink/w1x - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - BEST MONEY CHANGER IN SEOUL (Includes a phone screen video capture to show you where it is exactly) ---- We've been to Korea a couple times and we always look at exchange rates around different areas in Seoul and we always end up at this one spot in front of the Chinese Embassy in Myeongdong. They have the best forex rates based based on we've seen so far. ***Travel Tip: Forex comparisons are more accurately done on a weekend because the forex markets are closed so the rates are fixed for Saturday and Sunday so they don't fluctuate. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - BEST PRACTICES: 1. The Exchange Rate at the Airport is really high, so either bring enough Korean Won or exchange what you need at the Airport until you reach the city. For info on transportation from Airport to Seoul - watch this video: https://youtu.be/4jbb0jqDnNY 2. Always bring your passport with you. It's required when exchanging money. 3. Forex Rates are different depending on the bills. For example - larger bills like $100s and $50s have better rates compared to $20s and $20s 4. There is an abundance of money exchange places in Seoul so don't worry about running out of cash. 5. We don't commit to just one place, we just walk through the area and scout for the best rate and just pick the lowest. 6. Always count your money in near the counter to avoid disputes. 7. Familiarize yourself with Korean currency even before your trip. It'll help you count and also make purchase transactions faster. 8. In case you don't have or don't want to bring a lot of cash - Seoul is Credit Card friendly so you can easily use it almost everywhere, even at convenience stores. (Although it's always best to have 2 - 3 card options if one terminal doesn't accept your card). - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - HOW TO GET TO THE MONEY EXCHANGE AREA IN FRONT OF THE CHINESE EMBASSY 1. Your GPS is your best friend. Use it to the fullest 2. It's the street Across Lotte Young Plaza. Find the Tourist Police Booth and you'll see the small street where Starbucks is at currently. You'll see a lot of Forex Signs there. That's where you want to go. 3. If you're coming from the other side, just look for the KT Myeongdong building. 4. Just look for Myeongdong 2-gil. That's the exact street area, but it's in between two Namdaemun - ro (ro means diverging streets) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Thanks for watching! After landing at the Bangkok airport (DMK) I searched for the ATMs to withdraw Thai Bahts, but eventually, I came to know that all the ATMs were on the other side of the building which can be approached only after getting the VoA. They're infectiously positive, steeped in tradition, incredibly proud of their country, and the reason Thailand has been given the nickname, The Land of a Thousand Smiles. Thailand is a tropical country that sits in South East Asia, It's home to nearly 70 million people and until 1949 was known as Siam. It was then the decision was made to rename the country, Thailand. Thai translating as free, so The Land of the Free. If you look into its history, it has a good reason to own this title. This South East Asian nation is the only country in the region to have avoided colonialism. Remaining a sovereign country in its own right, something that the Thai people are very proud of. Thailand is a noticeably Buddhist country. With peace and positivity at the forefront of their national identity, that welcomes all other religious beliefs, allowing for the full freedom of expression. Over the past two decades Westerners have been lured to Thailand, and now it caters for every type of tourists, from cheap hostels to five star resorts. But here lies the contradiction, tourism has had a Western influence on the country and we want to see just how much of an effect this is having, on not only the landscape but also Thailand's cultural heritage. We wanted to see how easy it is to find the authentic Thailand. Whether that's in its capital city or a small island off it's coastline. Most visitors that come to the region fly into Bangkok, and that's exactly what we did. We flew from London Heathrow, where we treated ourselves to an airport lounge. Knowing we only had a short time in Bangkok before heading out to the island, we prioritised our time and booked an transfer through Holiday Extras, from Suvarnabhumi Airport to our accommodation in the city centre. Bangkok is the hub of South East Asia, during the eighties and nineties to Asian investment boom had encouraged more corporations and consequently more people to the capital. Now, around 13% of the country's population live in Bangkok, that's over 8 million people which makes the city busy, and I mean crazy busy. The traffic is insane, people are everywhere. Lights are pulsating, music blaring, exotic smells from street food vendors around the city is quite simply an assault on the senses. And for this reason, a little goes a long way in Bangkok. And just a short stopover here, can be just enough to get a taste of the city. We've fought through the jet lag and made our way to the Pak Khlong Flower Market, the best way from our hotel was to get a taxi boat. This is something I've learnt to get used to in Bangkok. People, and busyness, everywhere - here goes! Now these boats are loud, cramped and the river can be just as busy as the roads. However, the sights are pretty impressive and it's a great way to see the city. We always recommend downloading Google Maps on any trip and Bangkok is no different. It really helps on this journey where to catch the boat from, and where to get off. The cramped conditions can make getting to the exit difficult with so many people in the way, so if you can, make your way to the end of the boat early. The market entrance is hardly spectacular but what lies ahead is an explosion of colour and smells. People are hard at work, as flowers are symbolic of Thai culture and are often used for the King's celebrations. So we've come to the Pak Klong Dalat Flower Market, flowers are a huge part of Thai culture and this market is actually open 24 hours a day and apparently, the best time to come is at 3am, when all the wholesalers bring the flowers in. Now that might seem early but if you're jet-lagged and wide awake at 3am then it could be the best place to come. After being impressed by the flowers on show, we thought seeing them in their element would be a good idea, so we headed back up the river and made our way to the Grand Palace.

Mexico Money Saving Tips!

08:04
So you want to go on Vacation to Mexico? We recently went to Puerto Vallarta and have been to Mexico in the past. So it’s time to share some Mexico Money Saving Tips with you guys to help you have the Ultimate VACATION for Less! Tip #1: When booking resorts in another country, I would recommend using something like TripAdvisor.com. You can see the ratings of each hotels in that city and what specific things other families or couples said about the resort. Tip #2: Oyster.com is another great resource that you can use. They travel to each of the hotels and take real pictures that haven’t been edited so you can see what the resort really looks like. Tip #3: You can lose a LOT of money when heading to another country, if you don’t understand exchange rates or how it all works. And if you exchange your money at the wrong location, you will pay a higher fee or even a higher percentage on the exchange rate. Your best bet is to use a credit card that has a 0% foreign transaction fee. I would NEVER pay with American Dollars and have them give you back Pesos. You will lose a lot of money and not realize. So it’s best to have Pesos on you to purchase with cash. If you can get to a Bank in Mexico, it’s your best bet to getting the lowest fees on your exchange rate. However, if traveling to the city or bank location is out of your way and will end up costing more money than exchanging somewhere else, your 2nd best bet is to exchange at the airport right after you land. NOTE: There are multiple exchange rate services at the airports typically. So check to see what exchange rates they have AND their service fee. Lastly, if you have enough time, you can order foreign cash through your bank BEFORE your trip! Tip #4: If you have never traveled to mexico before, you’ll want to know that you should never, ever take a first price you hear when purchasing products. You can always negotiate. You’ll go back and forth with the shop owner until you come to an agreed upon price. Tip #5: Shop around when it comes to excursions. Tip #6: In Mexico, always, always, always keep your valuables in the room safe! Laptops, Passports, money, jewelry, cameras… they should all go in your in-room safe every single time you leave it. Tip #7: For most places in Mexico, you won’t need any sort of power converter or power adapter. So that alone, will save you anywhere from $30- $100. Tip #8: For transportation, check with the hotel you are staying at and see what kind of transportation they offer for either free or for rent. Renting a car outside of the U.S. can be expensive insurance wise and may not be your best option. Riding the local bus transportation is something our family has done and depending on how touristy your destination is, you’ll see a lot of other people doing that as well. If you do choose to travel by Taxi, PLEASE make sure that you are getting in a REAL Taxi Cab! There are a lot of fakes and look-a-likes. Tip #9: Make sure your bank knows you will be traveling out of the country so they don’t put a block on your cards. Tip #10: If you need access to emails, texts or phone calls on your cell phone, call up your provider and see what sort of short-term out of the country type of plan they have. For us, it only cost us $2 a day to have those services while we were in Mexico! Tip #11: Bring any of the sweets or chocolates you love with you in your suitcase! Mexico’s chocolate is pretty bitter and they don’t use a lot of sugar in their food. You can head to one of their OXXO Gas Stations (similar to a 7-11) to buy American Snacks.. but they are expensive. Coming Up Soon: Duty Free Inside Airports and How to Save! How to Land the Space Shuttle... from Space

17:49
NOT AN ASTRONAUT; NO AFFILIATION WITH NASA. I was dressed up for Halloween. Presented on October 31st, 2016 at Stack Overflow’s Remote Meetup in Philadelphia. #PhillyCheeseStack If you want to try landing the shuttle for yourself for fun, try F-Sim http://www.f-sim.com/ (I have no affiliation... just a fan). Sorry about the autofocus (we disabled it in later talks). Me running around on stage didn't help. As always, send complaints to Steve. If you're interested in more details on reentry and landing, I also wrote an answer on Stack Exchange Aviation: http://aviation.stackexchange.com/questions/21981/how-does-the-space-shuttle-slow-down-on-the-re-entry-descent-and-landing/23889#23889 --- This was one of nine "Tiny Talks" given over three days at the meetup. Every year, employees submit Tiny Talk ideas on a wide range of topics (some completely random and not company-related at all, like this one) and we vote on which ones we want to hear. So, thank you to my coworkers for voting me in. Original proposal description I submitted for this talk: Let's say you're traveling at about 17,500 miles per hour (28,000 km/h) in low earth orbit, your main engines are out of fuel, and it's your job to guide the spaceship through a fiery re-entry without burning up or skipping out of the atmosphere, navigate to your landing site, and arrive with just enough energy to make an unpowered landing on a runway which is halfway around the planet from where you started. And, of course, either you succeed on your first try, or everyone dies. So, no pressure…. In this talk, I'll show you how space shuttle designers, pilots, and autopilots managed to do just that. --- All real-life photos and videos (except the last slide) were produced by NASA. Everything that looks hand-drawn was done by me on a Wacom Intuos Pro tablet in ArtRage. Animations were done in After Effects. Between the concept, outline, script, artwork, animations, rehearsals, and editing, I spent somewhere around 200 hours over two months working on it. Very little time was spent researching. In case it wasn't obvious, I've been more than a little obsessed with the topic for years now.
