In our video Thailand 2016 - Common scams & how to avoid them we show you the 5 most common scams in Thailand and the best ways to avoid them. I've been traveling in Thailand for the last three months and nearly all my experiences have been positive. Thailand is a beautiful and amazing country. If you stay on the right side of the law and use common sense in can be very safe. The intention of this video isn't to scare tourists away. It is to educate them about common scams conducted by a small amount of unscrupulous people. In this video I talk about 1. The scooter scam - You rent a scooter but you have to leave your passport with the person you rented it from. Upon returning the scooter they accuse you of doing damage that you didn't do. The person that rented the scooter will then demand huge amounts of money and refuse to give your passport back unless you pay. If you were smart and took photo's of the scooter before you rented it there is a good possibility the Thai tourist police will be able to resolve the issue and help you get your passport back. If you're not so lucky and are unable to prove that you didn't damage the scooter there is a high probably you will be forced to pay exorbitant amounts for it's repair.

What is digibyte? I first became aware of digibyte after mining some coins through nicehash and miningpoolhub. At first I didn't do much research and immediately traded my mined coins back into bitcoin using the bittrex exchange platform. After a few successfully finishing a few mining contracts I wanted to know more. What makes Digibyte coin different from other crypto currencies? That's a great question. I'm not 100% sure, they have a 5 algorithm mining protocol which makes their network very secure, transaction times are fast (although NEM, Dash and IOTA are equally quick) and the lead developer has been involved with blockchain technologies since the beginning and is well respected in the industry. Digibyte price predictions for 2017. People buying digibyte are speculating that sometime in the near future a company or marketplace will need a solid blockchain technology with a proven track record and no want to go through the hassle of developing there own. The example a lot of people use is the digibyte minecraft example and while that shows this technology can be used as an in game currency it doesn't prove that digibyte has an advantage that the competition doesn't

I’m talking about QR codes. There are many who think that the QR code is dead, and they wouldn’t be wrong. Buy Bitcoin, Ethereum and Altcoins @ the best rates http://www.davidhay.org/bitcoin (Visa & Mastercard Accepted) Bitshares explained by David Hay BitShare’s is a decentralized exchange platform that can be used to launch Decentralized Autonomous Companies (DACs) which issue shares, produce profits and distribute dividens to shareholders. High performance block chain technology It is designed from the ground up to handle 100,000 per second compared to bitcoins 6 Industrial scalability that can rival visa and mastercard 1 second confirmation times changes the types of transaction that can be completed Decentralized asset exchange you can change assets like USD, GLD, Bitshares without using a 3rd party Parameters set by committee so it’s able to change things like blocksize quickly What is we could have all the features of the bitcoin network but the stability of US dollars Before the blockchain decentralized transactions were impossible. 3rd party needed to enforce contract. Now the crypto currency can be used as collateral and the block chain can enforce the rules Bitshares is like a company Bitusd, bitgld is like a product Bitusd pays interest to users making it more tempting to hold digital currency If bitusd reaches critical mass then maybe businesses can start switching to using it instead of cash Explain the 700 trillion dollar derivatives market Lisk and bitshares use delegated proof of stake which is much faster than proof of work, Ethereum might switch to this mechanism in August Smart contracts ethereum vs bitshares Ethereum is a true platform that you can build on. It has a built in programming language and you can deploy your smart contracts without asking anyone for permission. On ethereum you could create an exchange DAC with the same governing model that bitshares has etc etc. Bitshares is not a platform even though they claim it is. They have no programming language and they dont even document how one would build smart contracts on their platform. They say if you need documentation then you are not motivated enough. On bitshares if you need to deploy a smart contract then you have to get it included in a hardfork. To get it included in a hardfork you have to get it voted in by toxic shareholders. Then assuming you do it get it voted in there really is nothing stopping the same shareholders for voting on stuff that would hurt your business/dapp in the future. The only thing bitshares has going for it is fast blocktimes via DPOS. Ethereum a new smart contract/DApp can be added to the network without the approval of anyone but the author of the code.

We are building better, faster and more efficient machines to mine digital coins but one day someone looked at all this computing power and said why can't we do something more useful with it. Golem is a mix between the seti software that amateur astrologers installed on their home PC's to help look for aliens and bitcoin. It allows for a digital currency to exist that is founded on security and the block chain but instead of using all the processing power to solve complex problems in order to create more coins it allows other users to rent this power creating what could soon be the worlds biggest and most powerful virtual machine. The balance and dual purpose of the coin adds increased efficiency and huge potential leaps forward in the future for science and technology. I hope this make you as excited about Golem coin as I am.

In todays episode of crypto riot we look at dogecoin and see if it's worth adding to our cryptocurrency trading portfolio. Any computer mining with the scrypt algorythm can mine dogecoin at the same time without taxing its resources. So anyone mining litecoin can mine dogecoin at the same time without impact performance. Making the doge network very secure. Dogecoin was created by programmer Billy Markus from Portland, Oregon, who hoped to create a fun cryptocurrency that could reach a broader demographic than bitcoin. In addition, he wanted to distance it from the controversial history behind bitcoin, mainly its association with the Silk Road online drug marketplace. At the same time, Jackson Palmer, a member of Adobe Systems' marketing department in Sydney, was encouraged on Twitter by a student at Front Range Community College to make the idea a reality April 2015 Jackson Palmer announced he is taking an "extended leave of absence" from the cryptocurrency community. Compared with other cryptocurrencies, Dogecoin has a fast initial coin production schedule: 100 billion coins have been in circulation by mid 2015 with an additional 5.256 billion coins every year thereafter. As of 30 June 2015, the 100 billionth Dogecoin has been mined. While there are few mainstream commercial applications, the currency has gained traction as an Internet tipping system, in which social media users grant Dogecoin tips to other users for providing interesting or noteworthy content. Many members of the Dogecoin community, as well as members of other cryptocurrency communities, use the phrase "To the moon!" to describe the overall sentiment of the coin's rising value. Thanks to crowdfunding efforts, a gold coin representing the cryptocurrency is scheduled to reach the Moon's surface in 2019

Buy Ripple and bitcoin @ the best prices here http://www.davidhay.org/bitcoin (visa and mastercard accepted) Ripple explained by David Hay What is ripple and how does ripple work? Today we are looking at the world’s third largest cryptocurrency created in 2012 for use in banks and financial institutions. This centralized blockchain has plenty of supporters & opponents so today I’m going to dive into the details to see what makes ripple tick. What makes Ripple so unique is it uses a Centralized permissions based private blockchain. This is the opposite of bitcoin which is Public and decentralized. An almost free to use real time real-time gross settlement system. This allows for cross border transactions to be done instantly. Can work on top of existing systems or replace old systems like swift entirely. It includes address verification and can comply with each country's individual banking compliance systems. for example us anti money laundering laws. Can be used to trade exotic currencies. Thai baht to USD to Venezuelan bolivar Not a shady technology trying to rip people off. It Addresses a very real problem. Banks are slow to update. It allows records can be kept private between a few people or public for everyone to see and because its centralized a small group of people control it. Ripple doesn’t collect transaction fees the way PayPal, banks and credit cards do. However, it does take “a small portion of a ripple (equivalent to ~1/1000th of a cent)” from each transaction. That amount is destroyed rather than retained. The deduction is meant as to safeguard against the system being swamped by any one individual who might try to put through millions of transactions at once. , can handle 1000 transaction per second with no latency, it works on top of existing bank platform. Makes processing payments much cheaper for banks which should save the customer money

Buy NEM and bitcoin @ the best prices here http://www.davidhay.org/bitcoin (visa and mastercard accepted) NEM explained by David Hay In todays episode of crypto talk we explore NEM and its currency XEM. Started in 2015 NEM was built to address some of the issues and limitations that bitcoin was running into. After bitcoin became a victim of its own success people were looking for faster & cheaper way to send digital cash. NEM stepped in with a 10x faster and cheaper platform. In order to achieve the increase in speed it adopted a centralized blockchain model that used a proof of stake type mechanism instead of proof of work like bitcoin does. There are no miners in the network, instead the coins were distributed to the first users and the only way to purchase coins is by buying one from someone else or owning so many coins you can setup your own supernode and start harvesting. Harvesting is when your computer is used to confirm transactions on the network and you get to keep some of the fees that were generated by the transfer. NEM looks like a big improvement over bitcoin but in my opinion isn't as interesting as other projects like IOTA. Because no more coins are being mined it should be safe from inflation and will probably be one of the more stable alt coins in terms or price. Notes from video NEM was launched in march 25 2015 Currency is called launched XEM Centralized block chain design like dash NEM has some unique features 100x more efficient in terms of electricity use because it using harvesting instead of mining Low transaction costs 10 cents to send $1000 Messaging capability built in but it cost extra to send No inflation possible all the coins have been mined 6 seconds to show 20 seconds to confirm 100% traceable, no private transaction possible Allows retailers to track spending habits Scalable solution made on newer technology can handle 3,000 transaction per second. Bitcoin 8 transaction per second. Has messaging service built Venmo charges 2.9% apple pay 1.9% NEMS fees $.01 It costs 10 cents to send $1000 Number 2 currency in Japan More efficient than bitcoin. Proof of importance which is almost the same as proof of stake Nodes and supernodes process payments Importance of node calculated by account balance, amount of transactions so you are incentivized to keep the records correct. In order to start harvesting you need 10,000 In order to have a super node you need 3,000,000 Once you start harvesting you get to keep part of the transaction fees

Buy Bitcoins and Siacoin @ the best prices here http://www.davidhay.org/bitcoin (visa and mastercard accepted) Siacoin explained by David Hay What is Siacon? Siacoin has been described by some people as the Airbnb for hard drives. The concepts is simple you rent out the unused hard drive space on your computer to people that need cloud storage. If you watch silicon valley this is an almost identical concept to the Pied Piper idea for encrypted decentralized storage. If you are a company or individual that requires secure storage on the cloud you can buy hard drive space from other users with siacoins. The decentralized storage model is more secure because there is no need to trust a company like amazon or google instead. You trust the open source network and encryption protocols so no one will be spying on your stuff for advertising or tracking purposes. Much cheaper than cloud storage solutions like Amazon AWS. Siacoins also uses miners just like bitcoin that use their cpu and gpu's to confirm transaction and search for new coins. Less development and less features on sia coin Saicoin speed is slower and because of fault tolerance needed Only way to earn coins is to buy them on an exchange, rent out your hard drive space and earn them or try and mind them Service needs to compete with other cloud providers Renting out hard drive space may not cover the electric costs 1tb - amazon $23, $11.50 if infrequently accessed, sia coin $0.18 crypto nick

The legal marijuana industry is booming in states like California and Nevada but it's not all smooth sailing. The federal government has refused to leaglized marijuana and now this billion dollar industry is struggling to find payment solutions. The biggest problem legal marijuana distributors face is how to accept payment. Banks fall under federal regulations and the FBI has used their powers to raid and seize assets from legitimate businesses needlessly spreading fear and doubt throughout the industry. Potcoin aims to solve these problems by providing a decentralized payment system that will circumnavigate the limitations placed on regular banks and financial institutions. It is also important to note that Potcoin is not the only digital currency available for the cannabis industry. Dopecoin and Kushcoin are two alternatives.

When my friend first told me about this I didn't pay much attention because transaction fees with litecoin, ethereum and monero are so low already it's never stopped me from making a trade or not carrying out a transaction but when you think of the larger implications of having a free system the benefits become more obvious. We are lucky to have a free internet that anyone can use. With six billion people in the world most don't have access to a bank account. Their biggest barrier to entry is the fact it cost money to open one or they require a minimum balance. With a free system anyone can have have an account and if a system like this was widely adopted it could replace cash. Buy Bitcoins and Altcoins @ the best prices here http://www.davidhay.org/bitcoin (visa and mastercard accepted) EOS Explained by David Hay. Is EOS a scam coin? Even with Dan Larimer's past success in bitshares & steemit serious doubts have been cast over this new "ethereum killer" blockchain crypto currency. Skip ahead to 5:34 - Terms an conditions of EOS 7:50 - EOS Conspiracy theory Instead of doing a series A investment round to raise money to produce a product then offer it to the public. They have chosen to skip this process and solicit investment directly in the form of an ethereum ICO It's important to understand that ethereum is only the platform for raising money and once the project is finished it will launch it's own blockchain It is not clear how the ethereum will be traded for EOS which is causing some people to label it a scam coin but to understand this crpto currency you need to understand the past Founded Dan Laramer who prior to this was working on Steemit and bitshares This crypto currency plans to combine seemits ease or use, bitshares speed and scalability and a flexible smart contract platform that doesn't rely on it's own progamming language Decentralized applications platform. Can be used for building websites like facebook, exchanges like bitshares You only need to own the token to use the network no gas needed to move transactions through the system like ethereum. Allows for rapid development of decentralized apps. Compare windows/linux. No need to learn specific language like solidity. Lots of features built in so no need to re-invent the wheel. Similar to steemit Average users shouldn't know they are on the blockchain. Steemit concept is perfect because users focus on the features not technology There will be no barrier to enteries with EOS it will be as simple as using a website. The website would be centrailized but the network behind it would not How do you determine who gets access to network resources EOS coins determine access to the resources. If you own 1% of the total tokens you will have access to 1% of the network Only need to hold the tokens to get access to the network. Unlike ethereum where you need to actually spend gas to use the network. What makes EOS so fast Delegated proof of stake like bitshares. Allows individuals to assign representatives to vote for them. EOS aims to close the gap between the decentralized block chain and the decentralized applications. Will use the dedicated proof as stake instead of POW or POS

Kucoin Exchange http://bit.ly/2zSm7hQ coss.io Exchange http://bit.ly/2zRyASU After getting a better understanding of how the Binance BNB token works, I found two more exchanges with a similar structure. Link to the crypto gurus original video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odLdhTb7Shc KuCoin claims to have a coin buy back program similar to Binance but after I looked closer it seems to be more bark than bite. Coss Coin is based in Singapore and has the same affiliate marketing structure as Binance only without the advantage of a coin buy back program.

Map & Trail info here - http://www.sandiegohikers.com/Hiking-Trails/Torrey-Pines-State-Reserve.html Torrey Pines located in San Diego, California is one of natures real treasures. Made famous by the Torrey Pines golf open it was a source of inspiration for the late Dr Seuss. The view from the top of the cliffs overlooking the Ocean will take your breath away. For an unreal experience try hiking this trail at sunset during a full moon, you won't regret it. Perfect for taking a romantic date, hanging out or the dreaded in laws when they come to visit from out of town. The only downside to hiking here is paying for parking. Since the whole area is a state park be prepared to pay $12 to park on weekends, $10 on weekdays. Here is an excellent pro tip, get here early and park at the beach. If you're super lucky or it is possible to park here for free. Coming early is your best bet but even if you show up at 8 am on the weekend it's no guarantee because it is still packed due to surfers.

In today's episode of crypto riot I'll go over my crytocurrency trading strategy and how I setup my portfolio. I'll share my past cryptocurrency trading strategies, which alt coins I've invested in and why, which exchanges I use and how I keep my coins and tokens safe. Bitcoin - 20% Ethereum 50% Litecoin - 10% Moonshots - 10% I also discuss the importance of being flexible and patient with investing. When I shot this video the price of ethereum went plummeting so I used it as an opportunity to change 2.7 bitcoins into 60 ethereum tokens on Sunday the 16th of July 2017 for $183.50 each. Time will tell if this was a wise investment but I am confident that I made the best decision with the information I had available. I also talk about Polo, bitfinex, bitrex, kraken and CEX.IO and cover a little bit about lending bitcoins, litecoins and other alt coins to margin traders for a profit. Full disclosure I am not a finical advisor, I do my best to research each technology and get my facts right. If there is a mistake please be constructive with criticism and I'll update the videos with any new information I find.

I spent a few hours in the Cucuta airport with local police and customs as they searched through a suitcase of cash I was bringing back to the United States for the NAC3 Bitcoin and Blockchain Conference on Saturday. The 50lbs of hard currency I brought cost $100 US and will be worth $50. Bitconnect has proven to be a better investment than the Venezuelan Bolivar. This is why the Petro dollar will fail.
